The agricultural industry created gross value added of EUR 176.4 billion in 2019 in Europe (EU 27). Agriculture contributed 1.3 % to the EU-27’s GDP in 2019. This sector is experimenting important challenges and is in clear expansion in Europe: Agricultural income per annual work unit was 4.7 % higher for the EU-27 in 2019 than the level in 2018 and +19.7 % higher than in 2010 (source Eurostat).
