Round steel short link chains for restricted lifting - Medium tolerance sling chains - Grade 10R, from quenched and tempered alloy steel prEN XXX

Scope

This document specifies the requirements for medium tolerance sling chains of grade 10R for a restricted use preferably in chain slings of grade 10 or for other restricted lifting purposes.
Restricted covers a temperature range of -20 °C to +200 °C and use under normal conditions represented by non-existent automated or multi-shift handling processes, no use in combination with extended crane operations, no handling of hot or dangerous goods or no use for endless slings.
The range of nominal diameter, dn, covered by this document is from 4 mm to 32 mm.
These sling chains are round steel short link chains with a nominal pitch, pn = 3 × dn, electrically welded, heat-treated and tested.
