International and European standards for Additive Manufacturing cover processes of Additive Manufacturing, their process chains (Data, Materials, Processes, Hardware and Software, applications), test procedures, quality parameters, supply agreements, fundamentals and vocabularies.
Additive Manufacturing is a market in clear expansion both in Europe and internationally.
The generation of parts by adding materials layer-by-layer allows for a geometric design that is not possible using other manufacturing techniques.
Sectors such as automotive, aerospace are already benefitting from Additive Manufacturing. But other traditional sectors, such as medical devices and implants, energy, construction are also increasingly using this technique.
