Related technical committees related to ETSI:

3GPP -> 3GPP specifications cover cellular telecommunications technologies, including radio access, core network and service capabilities, which provide a complete system description for mobile telecommunications.

DECT -> DECT is the ETSI standard for short-range radio communications, which can be adapted for many applications and can be used over license exempt frequency allocations world-wide.

ITS WG64 -> responsible for standardization to support the development and implementation of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) service provision across the network, for transport networks, vehicles and transport users, including interface aspects, multiple modes of transport and interoperability between systems.

MSG TFES -> ETSI Technical Committee Mobile Standards Group (MSG) continues to update the Harmonized Standards required by the Radio Equipment Directive for the IMT mobile telecommunications family, to take account of the new specifications in 3GPP Releases.***

INT AFI-> produce test purposes, test descriptions, and TTCN-3 test cases to enable interoperability testing of the core network elements and covering the single-network, interconnect and roaming scenarios. Use Cases and requirements specified by ETSI for Automated and Autonomic Management and Control (self- management) of Networks and Services are tested via “industry standards-anchored” Proof of Concepts (PoC) events.

LI-> develop standards that support the technical requirements of national and international obligations for law enforcement, including the lawful interception and retention of the communications-related data of electronic communications.
SES SCN-> responsible for standardization relating to all types of satellite communication systems, services and applications including fixed, mobile and broadcasting; satellite navigation systems and services; all types of earth stations and earth station equipment, especially the radio frequency interfaces and network and/or user interfaces; and protocols implemented in earth stations and satellite systems.

MEC-> create a standardized, open environment allowing the efficient and seamless integration of applications from vendors, service providers, and third-parties across multi-vendor Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) platforms.
ERM WGEMC-> For many years we have provided more than 75% of the Harmonised Standards required under the R&TTE Directive until the arrival of the Radio Equipment Directive in June 2016. The RED has implications for ETSI’s radio work, especially in relation to receivers, software defined radio and cognitive radio. After review and alignment, TC ERM is currently maintaining nearly 150 Harmonised Standards related to the RED.

STQ MOBILE-> responsible for standardization relating to terminals and networks for speech and media quality, end-to-end single media and multimedia transmission performance, Quality of Service (QoS) parameters for networks and services and Quality of Experience (QoE) descriptors and methods. New specifications published recently cover methods for objective assessment of listening effort, and characterization methodology and requirements for the ETSI LC3plus speech codec. TC STQ also published a report to evaluate aspects of speech transmission based on the observed media volume in terms of time units. With our Working Group STQ Mobile we work closely with the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP™) and collaborate with other Standard Developing Organizations.

IPE-> The ISG continues to gain momentum in the IP industry, bypassing the 100 supporters including 23 operators, interested in sharing their experiences and defining the future strategies.
Leveraging on the published Group Reports and aiming to stimulate further evolutions, two PoC proposals were adopted:
"SRv6 based 5G Non-Terrestrial Network to provide services with granted SLA, like V2X communication” by CNR-ISTI
“Demonstration of deterministic networking in the Industrial Internet scenario” by China Telecom.

F5G-> the identification of the overall characteristics of the 5th generation fixed network and the exploration of relevant scenarios and related use cases for home, business and multiple vertical industries. This will allow us performing a gap analysis to identify both enhancements to existing standards and development of new specifications where required, and further outlining the complete F5G technology landscape.

EE EEPS-> manages various engineering aspects of telecommunication equipment in different types of installation. These include climatic, thermal and other environmental conditions; physical requirements of equipment racks and cabinets; power supplies and grounding; Circular Economy (including lifecycle analysis) and energy performance measurement and assessment methods for different parts of radio access networks including data centres. The committee’s work also embraces innovative energy storage technologies for ICT equipment – for example to provide resilience in sustainable smart cities.
