- Medical laboratories;
- Laboratory and testing houses;
- Inspection bodies;
- Certification bodies.

Normally, standards covering conformity assessment bodies are International standards from ISO CASCO and often such standards are adopted in Europe as European standards through the Joint CEN and CENELEC Technical Committee CEN/CLC JTC 1.
