CAD standard parts library - Methodology for structuring of parts library families prENV 40004-42

Scope

This part of ENV 40004 specifies: - the rules to group parts into structured families of parts and simple families of parts, as described by the Conceptual Model which constitutes the part 10 of this European Prestandard; - the rules to choose the appropriate attributes which shall be associated with the families of parts; - the descriptors that shall be provided by library suppliers to describe the families and attributes of parts, which form the content of their parts library and which shall be stored in the semantic dictionary of the user library.
