This European standard gives requirements for the types of industrial trucks specified in the scope of EN ISO 3691-4, in addition to the relevant sections of the companion EN XXX standards (e.g. EN XXX-1 for trucks with fork arms, EN XXX-6 for burden carriers).
These requirements are supplementary to those stated in EN ISO 3691-4. This standard shall be used in conjunction with EN ISO 3691-4.
This European standard covers the following requirements:
- Electrical requirements
- Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
- Operation in potentially explosive atmospheres
Annex A (informative) presents the list of significant hazards covered by this standard.
