Ceramic machines - Safety - Cutters and punching machines

Scope

1.1 This European Standard contains the requirements for safety for the design and installation of cutters and punching machines for fine, heavy clay and refractory products. 1.2 This European Standard deals with all significant hazards pertinent to cutters and punching machines, when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer (see clause 4). This European Standard specifies the appropriate technical measures to eliminate or reduce risks arising from the significant hazards. 1.3 This standard does not deal with 1.3.1 charging equipment, 1.3.2 discharging equipment, 1.3.3 presses.
