Scope

This draft European Standard applies to a combination of personal protective devices consisting of a full face mask and a fire fighters helmet (short: mask/helmet-combination) for use as part of respiratory protective devices. This draft European Standard specifies additional requirements for the combination which is not covered by prEN 136:1996 for the full face mask and prEN 443:1996 for the helmet. Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.
