Ceramic machines - Safety - Extruders and mixers

Scope

This European Standard contains the requirements for safety for the design and installation of extruders and mixers that are integral parts of the extruders used in the fine, heavy clay and refractory ceramics. Vacuum chambers, batch hoppers, feeding aids, shredding devices, pressure heads and die plates belonging to extruders and mixers are included. This European Standard deals with all significant hazards pertinent to extruders and mixers when used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer.
