Truck mixers are machines for the transportation and mixing of concretes, mortars and similar building materials as well as other fluid and bulk materials which in operation are not an acute risk to the environment. They consist essentially of a mixing drum which can be rotated plus a drive mounted on vehicles or semi trailers which in their characteristics as regards for ex. license to use the public road network,driving characteristics and safety on theroad and on site and gross weight do not themselves generally fass under this standard.
