Scope

This standard specifies definitions, requirements and denominations for heat preserved vegetables - including potatoes - their presentation, requirements forraw materials and their pretreatments. It does not cover matters regulated by legislation. This standard does not cover tomatoes nor tomato based products. It is not applicable to vegetables treated by lactic fermentation or by brining,nor preserved in vinegar. This standard is not applicable to heat preserved vegetables intended for subsequent processing.
