Scope

This standard specifies definitions, requirements and denominations for heat preserved fruit, their presentation, as well as requirements for raw materials and their pretreatments. It does not cover any aspect legally regulated. It is applicable to heat preserved fruit in syrup, fruit in fruit juice, fruit in water and to solid pack. It is also applicable to other heat preserved fruit, (for example compotes of bilberry, apple, wild fruits) although no specific requirements are included in annex A for these products.
