This standard identifies specific safety requirements which are significant for food processing machines and which are not contained in other European standardsor where amplification of other standards is required. Part 1 of this standard specifies methods for the elimination or reduction of these hazards by the safeguarding of machinery and precautions and information necessary to permit the user of the standard to adopt safe working practices.
