Additive manufacturing — Qualification principles — Test method for the gas permeability of sand moulds and cores designed with a property control structure

Scope

This document describes a test method for measuring the gas permeability of AM-made sand mould samples with designed internal structures such as thin walls, hollows, slits, ribs for controlling gas permeability using a sample holder and for checking gas permeability of the AM-made sand moulds and cores with the structure designed before casting using a probe.
