This European Standard defines basic anthropometric measurements for designing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be worn by an individual against one or more health and safety hazards. This European Standard includes principles for research and application of the relevant anthropometric data to the design of PPE. It also includes principles for checking that a person wearing the PPE can perform the movements required in his activity. This European Standard may be used in conjunction with national or international documents and anthropometric data bases.
