Plastics piping systems for non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage - Durability test method for products

Scope

This standard describes a test method to test the durability of SN2 up to SN16 products (pipe and fittings) used in non-pressure sewer system as defined in EN1401, EN1852, EN12666, EN14758, EN13476) made from virgin and/or recycled PE, PP and PVC material.

The products are tested in such way that the intended life time (e.g. 100 years) can be proven, when installed up to maximum 6 meter depth under good to moderate conditions, subjected to traffic load.
The method is suitable for type testing and batch testing, where for batch testing an adjusted method is possible.

Note The durability takes into account mechanical conditions of maximum 2 years of settlement of the ground and for the rest of years in settled condition and the chemical degradation during the lifetime.
