This standard applies to inductor proportioners for foam compound (shortly proportioner) which serve to mix foam compound or other (fluid) extinguishing media with water and which operate according to the Venturi effect, and specifies their requirements and tests. The standard does not apply to proportioners which are fitted in inductor foam branch pipes in accordance with DIN 14366-1 (handheld foam branch pipes).
