Earth-moving machinery - Operator's field of view

Scope

This standard specifies a test method and performance criteria for determining and evaluating the operator's visibility on the rectangular boundary line close around the machine and on the 12 m visibility test circle.
It applies to earth-moving machines as defined in ISO 6165 that have a specific seated operator's position.
It applies to earth-moving machines for operation on work sites and for travelling on public roads.
The application of this standard is limited to a maximum operating mass (ISO 6016) depending on the type of machine family (see table 1).
It does not consider the operators visibility during the operational movements of equipment and attachments.
