Scope

This European standard specifies performance and general design requirements for scaffolds. Requirements are given for scaffold structures whose stability is ensured by the adjacent construction, but they are generally applicable to other scaffolds. Normal requirement are set down, but there is also provision for special cases. This European Standard also specifies design rules for some materials and general rules for the assessment of prefabricated equipment.
