Scope

This standard describes the equipment characteristics of building control and automation products and systems for mechanical building services generally used in non-residential buildings. The standard specifies requirements for electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility (immunity, emissions and installation practices) and environmental (physical) conditions. The standard applies to:controllers with programmable functions; application specific controllers with fixed functions; interfaces to field devices (including sensors and actuators); operator and server-stations.
