This European Standard deals with the requirements that the different floor plates used in conjunction with cast-in-place concrete (topping) shall meet for the construction of floor composite slabs. Annex A gives the typology of different types of composite slabs made with floor plates. These floor plates may be made of reinforced concrete or of pretensioned prestressed concrete, the specific requirements of which are given in addition respectively in WI 229009-2:199_ and WI 229009-3:199_.
