This standard specifies marking and performance requirements, methods of classification, methods of determining dimensions and methods of test for commercial refrigerated cabinets for the sale and display of food products. This standard does not cover refrigerated vending machines. This part of EN 441 gives requirements for construction, selection and use of materials and specifies the marking and performance requirements. It should be read in conjunction with EN 441-6 which covers in detail the requirements for cabinets of specific type or intended for particular applications.
