EN ISO 14065:2021 - bodies verifying environmental information

EN ISO 14065:2021 sets the principles and the requirements for bodies performing validation and verification of environmental information statements.

This European and International standard is a sector application of the international standard ISO/IEC 17029:2019 containing general principles and requirements for the competence, consistent operation and impartiality of bodies performing validation/verification as conformity assessment activities. In that context, the European and International standard EN ISO 14065 includes sector-specific requirements in addition to the requirements of ISO/IEC 17029:2019.

This standard has been prepared by ISO and adopted by CEN as a reply to the Standardisation Request M/417 - STANDARDISATION MANDATE ADDRESSED TO CEN, CENELEC AND ETSI FOR THE USE OF HARMONISED STANDARDS IN SUPPORT OF THE NEW LEGAL FRAMEWORK AND SECTORAL CERTIFICATION SCHEMES.

This standards withdraws and replaces the European and International standard EN ISO 14065:2013 - Greenhouse gases - Requirements for greenhouse gas validation and verification bodies for use in accreditation or other forms of recognition (ISO 14065:2013)
