Scope

The standards package is addressed to the manufacturers of geotextiles and geotextile-related products used in road construction, to contractors performing road construction and repair, to related design and consulting organizations, as well as to the public bodies engaged with the quality and the execution of roads construction.
The standards package consists of the following documents:
- BDS EN 13249:2017 Geotextiles and geotextile-related products - Characteristics required for use in the construction of roads and other trafficked areas (excluding railways and asphalt inclusion)
- BDS EN 13251:2017 Geotextiles and geotextile-related products - Characteristics required for use in earthworks, foundations and retaining structures
