Entangled Photon-Pair Sources — Characterization requirements and test methods prEN XXX

Scope

This document specifies the experimental setups, measurement procedures, and analysis of measured data to evaluate the main parameters of interest of entangled-photon-pair sources (EPPS). It also specifies the semantics of other quantities that are used for the characterisation of EPPS, including specification of functionality. Further, it specifies preliminary indications for tailoring the characterization to space-oriented applications.
