European Norm

Scope

This document specifies requirements for the design for flexible, factory made, buried district heating and cooling pipe systems.

Pipe systems according to EN 15632-1/-2/-3, EN 17414 and EN 17878 are under the scope of this document, covering all temperature ranges TR1 to 3 and TR 5 depending on type of system. Adjacent pipes, not buried, but belonging to the network (e.g. pipes in ducts, valve chambers, road crossings above ground etc.) may be designed and installed according to this standard.

This document is intended to be used in conjunction with part X, Y or Z, as applicable.

This document is not applicable for:
1. pumps;
2. heat exchangers;
3. boilers, tanks;
