Geotechnical engineering - Field testing - Part 1: Cone and piezocone penetration tests

Scope

This European standard specifies requirements for indirect ground investigations of soil by cone and piezocone penetration tests within the scope of the geotechnical investigations and testing in accordance with ENV 1997. The purpose of this European standard is to eliminate as far as possible erroneous assessments of subsoil conditions as well as to limit scatter when repeating tests and improve reproducibility when undertaking cone and piezocone penetration testing.
