Scope

This European standard gives specifications for large series hexagon, high-strength structural bolts with metric dimensions in property class 10.9, and thread sizes from M12 up to and including M36, with short thread lengths. If in special cases specifications other than those listed in this European standard are required, they shall be selected from existing European or International Standards, for example, ISO 261, ISO 20898-1 and ISO 965. Bolts to this European Standard are intended for the assembly with nuts to EN 783.
