Woodworking machines - Health and safety - Common requirements

Scope

This European standard sets out a method of hazard identification for woodworking machines and tools designed for processing wood and similar materials (see 3.2). It includes common design requirements for the elimination of hazards and design measures that shall be taken to minimize those hazards which it is not possible to eliminate. This European standard does not apply to hand-held woodworking machines or any adaption permitting their use in a different mode e.g. bench mounting.
