This European Standard specifies product characteristics, test methods and performance criteria for fire detectors which detect smoke in air ducts; either as a part of a fire detection and fire alarm system or as a detector for a fire protection system, both for buildings and civil engineering works.
This European Standard provides for the assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) of duct smoke detectors to this EN.
