Scope

This European Standard specifies product characteristics, test methods and performance criteria for point flame detectors, for use in fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings and civil engineering works, that detect the radiation from the flames generated during the combustion of carbon based materials.
This European Standard provides for the assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) of point type flame detectors to this EN.
