Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for assessing and operating machine strength grading systems, to strength grade structural timber and laminates for glulam. In addition, guidance is given to the degree of quality control necessary to ensure the reliability of timber graded by strength grading machines. These requirements are given for both 'machine-controlled' and 'output-controlled' systems for grading timber.
