Scope

This document applies to the supply system and to the intake system of atypical road vehicles for mass transit, supplied by an on board battery system and/or energy source made by conductive elements continuosly placed along the path, but differing from the traditional overhead contact lines.The rail borne vehicles and, in any case, the systems of current intake with third rail are not considered by the standard.The nominal voltage of these non conventional intake systems outside the vehicles shall be not exceeding 750 V d.c. (according to EN 50163).
