Scope

This Standard applies to the erection and testing of electrical installations in: - hospitals and out-patients' departments for human and dental medicine as well as in other buildings intended for corresponding purposes, or when the application of this standard is indicated in regulations specified in building or industrial regulations, or in individual cases as required by the planning approval or in an individual order; - rooms used for medical purposes in human and dental medicine outside hospitals, - rooms for home dialysis The requirements in this tandard take into account the possible danger to persons, particularly patients, from dangerous shock currents, in the event of fire or a general power failure, according to the type or usage of buildings
