This standard relates to contamination warning assemblies to provide monitoring of radioactive contamination on the surface of personnel, whether they be clothed or not - The specification is applicable only to that type of equipment where the user takes no action other than to present himself and/or his hands and feet to the detectors over the area to be monitored or the user passes quickly through the monitor - The specifications given in IEC 1098 are modified by specifications by ISO and the German Commission for Radiation Protection
