During stringing a current carrying capability may required for the equipment even the system worked on is in a dead state. In cases of already existing systems which stay live while the stringing of the new system is in progress the kind of the system arrangement on the towers may cause currents up 160 A (see IEC 61271-102 where earthing switches with breaking capabilities are standardized).
