CEI 23-50 applies to plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes, with rated voltage above 50 V a.c. but not exceeding 440 V a.c. and a rated current not exceeding 32A. Section 1 is the Italian translation of IEC 60884:1994. Section 2 is formed by national additions and modifications to the general requirements, which take into account the peculiar types of plugs and socket-outlets used by the Italian market, and by standard sheets giving general dimensions for construction and relevant gauges.
