Scope

This draft standard applies to flat non-rewirable two-pole plugs without earthing contact with a rated voltage of 250 V a.c. and a rated current of 10 A, with a cord, for the connection of class-II-equipment for household and similar purposes. This draft extends the scope of plugs according to DIN VDE 0620-101 (VDE 0620 Teil 101):1992 (German version EN 50075) up to 10 A. The current carrying parts will be in accordance with the Italian system CEI 23-16 Standard sheet S 10, only the outer dimensions will be brought in line with the 2,5 A Euro-plug according EN 50075.
