This standard applies to devices for NH-type fuse links. The German national standard DIN VDE 0638/9.81 deals with devices for D-type fuse links size D01, D02 and D03. That standard is delimited from IEC 408 'Low-voltage air-break switches, air-break disconnectors, switch-disconnectors and fuse-combination units' by specific requirements, based on the necessity of national approvals. Now it is scheduled to expand the content of this standard by including an equivalent part of devices, fitting for NH-type fuse links. These devices will also be subject to certification
