Scope

During normal service life insulators and equipment of medium voltages get dirty. Deposits may lead to partial discharges and disruptive discharges. The voltage strength of installations will decrease and normal service will be impaired. Usually installations have to be deenergized for removing the deposits. The liquid cleaning allows for live working. Herewith the tools, well known from the suction cleaning (German Standard: DIN VDE 0682 Part 601, to which the liquid cleaning will be supplementary part), are used. In case of deposits containing oil or silicone suction cleaning will not have reliable results. Therefore the liquid cleaning has to be applied in addition to the suction cleaning.
