CLC/TC 210 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
European Norm
The new standard is intended to apply to Power Line Communication (PLC) equipment at Photovoltaic (PV) sites in the outdoor environment. This new work item shall specify the limits of electromagnetic emissions and the test methodology for measurement of these emissions for equipment intended for use in outdoor PV sites. This standard will facilitate electromagnetic compatibility between PLC operational signal power transmission in PV sites and adjacent radio services in the environments of industrial, commercial, and residential areas
The deliverables are:
- Identify the radio services in the frequency range 0.5 MHz – 12 MHz with high co-existence risk in industrial and commercial area.
- Specification of limits based on the risk analysis of co-existence and the related EMC standards.
- The test method for both radiated and conducted emission shall be developed for measurements in a standard Lab environment,
Legislation related to this standard
