Automatic electrostatic application systems for non-ignitable liquid coating materials — Safety requirements

Scope

The standard specifies the electrical requirements for the design of automatic electrostatic application systems for non-ignitable liquid coating materials and non-ignitable cleaning agents which do not generate an explosive atmosphere inside the spraying area, used within a temperature range from 5 °C to 40 °C.
The standard considers automatic electrostatic application systems for processing non-ignitable liquid coating materials, whose maximum conductivity is defined by the manufacturer.
The standard considers the protection of persons against electric shock.
