Scope

1. The scope of EN 378-1 is applicable. 2. This part 13 of the European standardspecifies the level of competence of persons necessary with respect to their task with refrigerating systems to achieve quality assurance for health, safety, environmental and energy conservation purposes. 3. For refrigerating systems containing up to 10,0 kg of group L1 refrigerant or up to 2,5 kg of groups L2 and L3 refrigerant, this Part 13 is not applicable for persons doing only the simple day-to-day operation or cleaning of external surfaces in accordance with the manufacturer's or designer's operating instructions.
