This document specifies requirements for non-linear hearing protectors that do not comply to the minimum attenuation requirements in EN 352-1:2020, EN 352-2:2020+A1:2024 or EN 352-3:2020.
This document also specifies requirements on labelling and user instructions.
This document does not give guidance on meeting general minimum sound attenuation requirements.
NOTE: This document will allow a subgroup of products to be approved for special purpose and specific noise environments, for example non-linear passive earplugs.
