Fertilizing products — Stability of chelating and complexing agents prEN 17787

Scope

This document specifies the references to the methods for the determination of stability of chelating and complexing agents for fertilizing products containing micronutrient chelates and/or complexes.
Fertilizing products containing micronutrient materials for this purpose are micronutrient chelates or complexes and mixtures of them, in powder or granular form, aqueous or suspension preparations.
This document is applicable to fertilizing product blends, where the blend is a mix of at least two of the following components: fertilizers, liming materials, soil improvers, growing media, inhibitors, plant biostimulants, and where the following category: inorganic fertilizers or organo-mineral fertilizers is the highest % in the blend by mass or volume, or in the case of liquid form by dry mass.
This document is not applicable to fertilizing product containing any substance not considered chelating or complexing agent, combining with a micronutrient to form a stable compound at the specific working pH.
