Scope

This standard specifies: - measures on railway vehicles for fire protection; - verification of these measures. The measures and requirements indicated in this standard shall cover the objective to protect passengers and staff in railway vehicles in the event of a fire on board. It is not the objective of this standard to describe measures which ensure the preservation of the vehiclesin the event of a fire on board.
