This part of EN 15714 deals with actuators for pipeline valves used in petroleum and natural gas industries to EN 13942 and EN 14141. It will take into consideration all additional requirements of ISO 12490, specific to mechanical integrity and sizing, compared with EN 15714 series.
It specifies the basic design criteria/requirements (for example duty classification, endurance, environmental conditions and corrosion categories, duty performances, etc.), to be applied to actuators for pipeline valves used in the petroleum and gas industries applications.
It covers all types of actuators (part-turn, multi-turn and linear).
