Scope

This document is applicable to cabs in tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry. It aims to limit the exposure of the operator (driver) to hazardous substances. This document specifies different categories of cabs in tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry and the relevant requirements and test procedures aimed at limiting the exposure of the operator (driver) to hazardous substances when inside the cab. It also specifies the information to be provided by manufacturers of tractors or machinery for agriculture and forestry.
This document does not cover:
- Exposure linked to fumigants;
- The cab category and performance level to be used for any particular application;
- The actual cab performance in field applications;
- The field durability of filters;
- The external air delivery and filtration devices independent of a cab;
- Unenclosed driver’s stations, e.g. ROPS or canopy.
This document is not applicable to cabs in tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry which are manufactured before the date of its publication as an EN.
