Scope

This European Standard specifies a spectrometric method for the determination ofborate in a cold water extract of paper and board (see EN 645) intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. This method is applicable to the determination of borate in concentrations between 0,01 mg/l and 1,0 mg/l expressed as boron. The working range may be extended by dilution.
